Godsman scores fifth win of North Scottish Alliance season

Kyle Godsman, playing over his home course at Lossiemouth, scored his fifth win of the North Scottish Alliance season with a three-under-par 68, despite a quadruple bogey 8 at the 12th on the Old Course.

Hopeman-based Godsman headed the field of 75 by four strokes with birdies at the second, third, sixth, eighth, 10th, 13th and 17th. At the 12th, he was in the rough off the tee and then saw his recovery shot blown into bushes. He finished up by three-putting for an 8.
It was the Hopeman man's second outright victory of the 2016-17 season. He shared the other three wins.
Godsman's arch rival, Bryan Fotheringham (Forres), who has four wins to his credit, finished joint fifth on this occasion.
